Art Song is a type of vocal music composition, usually written for solo voice and piano, that is typically rooted in classical music traditions. A marriage of music and word, it sets a poem or text to music in a way that emphasizes the expression of the text’s meaning and emotion. It is a genre that spans many languages and cultures, offering a rich and expressive repertoire.

Similar to a classical music take on cabaret, our performances are recital programs featuring a variety of works—primarily classical—performed by some of the world’s leading singers and instrumentalists. Performance lengths vary: some run just over an hour without a break, while others may include two distinct halves with an intermission. For more information about each recital, please visit the individual concert pages.
