Each season, ASC presents a series of intimate Lieder Lounge performances, highlighting some of the most exciting artistic champions of art song. These recitals often focus on a theme, set of composers, or ideas the artists want to explore on an intimate recital stage.

Our second Lieder Lounge features the Art Song Chicago debuts of both Tunisian-Canadian mezzo-soprano Rihab Chaieb and pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz on February 22, 2027 at 7:30pm in Ganz Hall. Rihab makes her house debuts with Gran Teatre del Liceu and Montreal Opera, with returns to Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and the Atlanta Opera. Israeli-South American Pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz is one of the most sought after collaborative pianists of today and has performed on all of the large concert stages including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Philarmonie de Paris, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
